These Terms and Conditions apply to your use of and subscription to Portner Press publications and websites. By using our services you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and they shall constitute an agreement between you and Portner Press Publishing Pty Ltd (‘PPP’, ‘us’, ‘our’, ‘we’).
All information contained in our publications, emails and websites (our websites include any website that is operated by us and offers one or more publications that we publish) is general advice; your personal or company’s circumstances have not been taken into account. If you’re in doubt about the suitability of any information, it is a good idea to seek professional advice.
The information contained in our publications and on our websites has been produced in good faith and is based on information collected from experts and wide ranging sources believed to be correct and accurate at the time of publication. PPP, its directors, officers and employees disclaim to the maximum extent permitted by law any liability for loss or damage however caused as a result of any subscriber relying on information in a PPP publication or communication. Please seek professional advice if you’re in doubt about the suitability of any information.
Users will only have access to the services they are subscribed to or products they have purchased. For paid services, only a paying member has access to the subscriber-only section of the websites and emails. Subscribers must not reveal any username(s) or password(s) or forward paid services emails to any third party. Purchasers of e-Books must not forward copies of or links to download any e-Books to any third party. The free e-letters can be viewed on their dedicated websites or subscribed to by email.
All material published on our websites is owned or provided under licence by PPP. Content in the free e-letters may be republished only if you acknowledge the e-letter as the source and provide a link to its dedicated website. Content in our paid subscriptions is not to be reproduced, forwarded, or disclosed without our prior written permission.
When you provide personal information to PP you agree to the terms of our Privacy Policy. Please read our Privacy Policy.
Print Handbooks: By purchasing any print handbook publication, you enter into a continuing agreement for that product’s update service. Prices for updates will be communicated to you at the same time as the cost of the handbook. You may request cancellation of your subscription to the update service at any time by providing written notice that you wish to cancel. You will be liable for the charges of any updates sent prior to cancellation.
Digital Handbooks: You may request cancellation of any digital handbook subscription by providing 30 days’ notice that you wish to cancel. You will be liable for any scheduled payments within those 30 days.
Newsletters: By making a payment for any newsletter subscription, you enter into a continuing agreement to receive that newsletter each month. You will be invoiced quarterly, meaning you pay for three editions at a time. You may request cancellation of your subscription to a newsletter service at any time by providing written notice that you wish to cancel. You will be liable for payment of any quarterly invoice sent prior to cancellation.
e-Books: On successful purchase of an e-Book you are sent a link to download the product. Therefore, all sales of e-Books are final. You will not have a right to cancel your purchase once it is complete.
We can review and alter our prices for any product at any time. If the price for your next subscription period or update is to increase we will inform you before it changes.
PPP has the right to investigate any breach or complaint about a violation of these terms and conditions. PPP will take any necessary action to protect itself and may report any unlawful activity to the relevant legal authorities.
Any subscriber or website user found to be in breach of these Terms and Conditions may have their subscription or website access suspended, amended or cancelled. We reserve our right to take whatever action is available to us under the law.
We may change all or part of these Terms and Conditions at any time. If we do, the new Terms and Conditions will be posted on our websites. Your subsequent or continued use of this website and/or receipt of our emails will constitute your acceptance of any changes. If you object to any changes to the Terms and Conditions, your only remedy is to discontinue your use of the website or cancel your subscription with us. As you are bound by these Terms and Conditions, we recommend that you periodically refer to them.
